Heroes of Honor & Glory Garden is a designated section of the cemetery based on Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C.
Heroes of Honor & Glory is a lawn crypt, or underground burial system that consist of 200 crypts, being a system of double depth burial.
The space is free to any honorably discharged veteran. Only a spouse of the veteran can be buried in this dedicated area along with their loved one.
Heroes of Honor & Glory Cremation Garden is offered to all honorably discharged veterans whose choice is cremation. This space/vault combination is offered to the spouse as with the lawn crypt. Each veteran will receive a 8.5” x 5” bronze niche which will be placed on a 12” x 24” granite backer with an in-ground vase and space for the second niche (For another veteran or the spouse).
This offer is extended to any veteran, serviced by any funeral home in the state of Indiana.
The entire area has a black iron fence around it. Each veteran is entitled to an upright marble marker, placed at the head of the lawn crypt, which is provided free by the government. If the spouse chooses, he or she may purchase a lawn level companion marker which would placed in the center of the crypt area.
Heroes of Honor & Glory development was completed on October 2009. The first burial was on October 13, 2009.
